Happy Toast!

Note from Marie: I made this dish on the Breakfast episode of my first cooking show, Kids Cooking! And since then, it has always been one of my favorite snacks or breakfast items. Kids can make it themselves, which makes it even more fun to eat! Use whole wheat bread and natural peanut butter for extra vitamins and minerals.

Serves 1 (multiply for more!).

Ingredients:

1 slice whole wheat bread

3 Tablespoons smooth peanut butter

2 slices banana

3 teaspoons jelly

2 Tablespoons sweetened, shredded coconut

 

Instructions:

Toast bread (if desired). Spread penut butter over one side of toast. Sprinkle coconut along top edge of bread for "hair." Use banana slices for "eyes." Using spoon, form jelly into a smile. Serve immediately.
